Coming from Ohio, Carol has lived all over this Country and has had a very full life, while raising her five children, teaching, being an administrator, and artist. Her poetry writing did not start until after her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2007 while living in Atlanta. She found that writing was a way of coping with all that she was experiencing. She believes that she received great Heavenly inspiration to write these poems. Her cancer journey was full of twists and turns, comedy and chaos…but she survived and is here to tell her story to help others coping with cancer. Her biggest support and inspiration came from her family, her online cancer friends and a dear survivor friend, Pat Campbell. She is grateful for all the doctors, nurses, family and friends, who helped her. Her main goal in writing these poetry books is to share her experiences and poems to encourage all of those warriors fighting cancer or needing some hopeful words during the trials on their life journey.
